We are looking for a new Headteacher to lead our school

Salary: L26 - L32 £87,253 - £101,067

We are seeking an exceptional and visionary Headteacher to lead Plympton Academy from January 2025. As the Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our academy. You will work closely with staff, parents, and the wider community to ensure that our pupils receive an outstanding education whilst developing our school.

At Plympton Academy we believe in inspiring a culture of success for all, including our staff. We have a strong culture of staff development and support - high quality CPD, based on research and evidenced best practice, which is prioritised and supported through a tailored coaching programme.

What you will need to succeed:

  3. High Expectations: Hold high academic expectations for all students, regardless of their prior attainment and socio-economic backgrounds.

  5. Emotional Intelligence: Possess high levels of emotional intelligence.
  6. Effective Team Leadership: Demonstrate highly developed people skills and previous experience in leading teams effectively.
  7. Dynamic Communication: Excellent public speaking skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  8. Curriculum Expertise: Fully acquainted with the demands and requirements of the curriculum.
