Results Day 2020

Year 13: Thursday 13th August (9:00 am - 11:00 am)

Year 11: Thursday 20th August (9:00 am - 11:00 am)

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions and to ensure we safely manage all persons on-site, the format of the collection of Year 11 results has been revised from previously.

We are inviting Year 11 students to collect their results, in school, as is our usual practice if they so wish, however in order to adhere to the protocols of social-distancing we will allocate students a 20-minute window from 9:00 am to 11:00 am where they can pick up their examination results and will be presented with their yearbook. This means that the number of students in the school will be regulated so that we take responsibility for the health and safety of both adults and young people on-site and in the public area outside the Academy.

As you are aware schools were asked by OFQUAL, the examinations regulator to submit centre assessment grades for each subject. These are grades that reflect a fair, reasonable and carefully considered judgement of the most likely grade a student would have achieved if they had sat their exams this summer and completed any non-exam assessment. A substantial amount of consideration, endeavour, and effort was given to this process to give a fair representation of each student's attainment in each subject. These centre assessment grades undergo a statistical standardisation process by the examination boards who may adjust our judgements and award a grade.

If students are dissatisfied with the grade they are awarded they have the option of re-siting their examinations in the autumn of this year. We will publish information regarding the re-sit process shortly.

Please see the Student Results Guide Summer 2020 documents below for the latest information regarding this year's exams.
