Plympton Academy

Extra-Curricular Activities

At Plympton Academy the formal teaching day ends at 3.00pm, and we have a lunch break between 1.00pm and 1.40pm.  This gives us time to host a range of extra-curricular activities, both on-site and at other venues.

We are proud to offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities and we encourage all students to take part in one or more of them.

We believe that school life is deeply enriched by taking part in these activities.  They offer a chance to make new friends, learn wider skills, develop deep knowledge and represent the school in sport and other areas.

We are pleased to reintroduce our programme of extra-curricular activities, starting from Monday 15th March. We have worked hard to ensure that our programme meets current guidelines and as a result, all activities will take place in year groups. This means that some activities are being offered to year groups on a rotation basis throughout the academic year.

This programme will be updated after the Easter holidays with a range of sports including baseball, cricket and rounders alongside other activities such as 'Vile Victorians', which is our version of Horrible Histories.
