Plympton Academy

Support

6th Form @PA provides a welcoming learning environment which supports academic outcomes and personal growth.  We have an experienced team of tutors and administrative staff who are dedicated to supporting out young people.  Our focus is to ensure students have guidance in making informed choices about their future but a focus on strong mental health and well being practices.

The tutor programme helps young people consider age related well being practices whilst also promoting a culture of tolerance and respect through the reading programme and assemblies.

Each student is a member of a tutor group and will meet with their tutor at least once daily.  The Sixth Form also has a dedicated Pastoral Mentor who supports wider pastoral concerns.  We also have a dedicated Careers lead who helps to provide relevant guidance to students.

Some of students are also eligible for the Post 16 Bursary, we encourage students to check the eligibility criteria, and discuss this with our Sixth Form administrator.
