Studies suggest that students who complete regular homework that reviews classroom learning are up to 10 times more likely to achieve good GCSE grades. Our approach to homework is designed to provide opportunities for students to regularly process, memorise and recall their learning so that they develop their independent learning skills and long-term retention of information.
The Homework Information page sets out the expectations and routines regarding homework at the Academy, as well as the Homework Timetable for each year group.
To support students with organising and completing their homework, the Knowledge Organiser also includes a Homework Planner, a Homework Guide that suggests homework activities and a guide to making Flashcards. These can be found at the back of the Knowledge Organiser, along with their Homework Timetable.
